The Bombardier CRJ-200 is a twin-engine, high-wing regional jet airliner that has become one of the most successful and widely-operated aircraft in its class. First introduced in 1991, it represents a stretched derivative of the earlier CRJ-100, accommodating up to 50 passengers in a single-class configuration. The aircraft is renowned for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and excellent short-field performance, making it ideal for regional carriers operating from smaller airports with limited infrastructure. Powered by two General Electric CF34 turbofan engines, the CRJ-200 offers strong climb performance and reasonable range for regional operations.
